title: Introduction
description: What the API supports for managed runtimes and typed order actions.
---

Superior Trade is execution infrastructure for developers and AI agents: you bring code, we supply managed runtimes with venue connectivity and a managed trading wallet by default. Bring-your-own-key custody is coming soon. Base URL `https://api.superior.trade`; every request after [registration](/account/registration) authenticates with an `x-api-key` header.

## Supported platforms

Ranked by typical trading volume:

| Venue | Type | Frameworks | Status | Paper |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ![Hyperliquid](/logos/hyperliquid.png) Hyperliquid | perp DEX | freqtrade, NautilusTrader | supported now | yes |
| ![Binance](/logos/binance.png) Binance | CEX (spot + perps) | freqtrade | coming soon | coming soon |
| ![Lighter](/logos/lighter.png) Lighter | perp DEX | NautilusTrader | live Nautilus backtests | no |
| ![Polymarket](/logos/polymarket.png) Polymarket | prediction market | NautilusTrader | live Nautilus backtests | no |

The live capability matrix — credential shapes, regions, minimum deposits — is [`GET /context/venues`](/context/venues).

## Two kinds of execution

Everything you run on Superior is one of two shapes:

**One-time venue execution** — [`POST /runtime/executions`](/runtime/executions). Run one typed place or cancel operation on Hyperliquid or Polymarket with your managed wallet. Send a typed action, not code or credentials; the API signs it and returns the venue result synchronously.

**Recurring execution (runtime)** — [`POST /runtime/deployments`](/runtime/deployments). A strategy that runs continuously: a freqtrade or NautilusTrader bot watching the market and trading until you stop it (or its `alive_until` lapses). This is the managed-bot product: isolation, restarts, logs, metrics, lifecycle.

Both use the same [credential model](/runtime/credentials): Superior creates and manages a **trading wallet** for your account by default (deposit and go — no key handling). **BYOK** for your own scoped key is coming soon.

## Where to go next

1. Get a key: [Registration & OTP](/account/registration) — two requests, one six-digit code.
2. Validate an idea: [Backtests](/runtime/backtests).
3. Run one place or cancel operation: [One-Time Venue Executions](/runtime/executions). Run a strategy continuously: [Deployments](/runtime/deployments).
4. Operating an AI agent? The [Agent](/quickstart/agent) page is the full flow, request by request.
